Conditions of use.

1. Service
Fattermap is a mapping application for exploring terrain and outdoor-related information (web and mobile). It is operated by Fattermap. Contact: contact@fattermap.com.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Fattermap, you agree to these Conditions of use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3. Accounts and sign-in
You may sign in with email/password or with third-party providers (including Google). You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your login details secure.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use Fattermap lawfully and not to:
- attempt unauthorized access to systems or other users’ data;
- abuse, overload, or scrape the service;
- upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
5. Content you provide
You keep ownership of content you create (for example routes or feedback). By submitting it, you grant us a licence to host, display, and process it as needed to operate Fattermap.
6. Shared routes
You may share a route by generating a public link. Anyone with the link can view the shared route. Retention works as follows:
- Without an account: we host a copy of the route as shared at that moment. The link remains available for 90 days, then expires.
- With an account: the link remains available indefinitely and includes later modifications to the original route. It becomes inaccessible if you revoke the share or delete the original route.
You are responsible for what you share and for who receives the link. Further details on retention and processing are in our Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party information
Maps, weather, avalanche bulletins, and other outdoor data may come from third parties. We do not guarantee that this information is complete, current, or error-free.
8. Outdoor safety
Fattermap is an information and planning tool only. It does not replace your own judgment, local knowledge, official bulletins, or professional advice. You use outdoor information and undertake outdoor activities at your own risk.
9. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. The service is provided “as is” without warranties beyond those required by applicable law.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including reliance on map or weather data. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under consumer law.
11. Account deletion and termination
You may request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the service.
12. Privacy
How we collect and use personal data (including data received when you sign in with Google) is described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Conditions of use. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
14. Contact

15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
